Eric has been in public safety for approximately 22 years. He started out in the fire service in 1985 as a volunteer firefighter. In 1990 he began working at Saint James Parish Emergency Operations Center (EOC) where he is currently the Director of Emergency Preparedness. He is a member of the Saint James Industrial Mutual-Aid and also active in the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and Saint James Parish CAER. He was instrumental in starting the Saint James Explorer Post for law enforcement, fire service and emergency management for the youth in the parish. He has served on the LEPA board for the past six years and served as President in July 2005 - June 2006.  He is a certified Fire Fighter and a certified Louisiana Emergency Manager.
