ANNUAL WORKSHOP: The
LEPA Workshop & Expo is the perfect occasion to learn the latest developments in the field of emergency management. Dynamic speakers, outstanding programs, and exceptional entertainment have become a tradition at the annual gathering. The workshop location varies each year. Leadership & Direction: LEPA's Board of Directors serves as a voluntary unit to address local, state, and federal emergency management concerns and issues on behalf of the membership. The Board consists of 17 members elected by the Association, three designated positions, and six distinguished lifetime members. Elected members serve a three-year term. Board members' biographical data and contact information are listed on LEPA's web site.

MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE: New members are provided a LEPA Member Certificate suitable for framing and an ID card.

HAZMAT ALLIANCE: Confused about hazardous materials regulations, training or safety issues? You don't have to be with LEPA's
HAZMAT Alliance. The Alliance's mission is to improve communications, coordination and cooperation among agencies as it relates to
HAZMAT planning, training and response activities. As a LEPA member, you are automatically a member of the
HAZMAT Alliance. The
HAZMAT Alliance sponsors several training programs throughout the year; including “HAZMAT DAY” at the annual
LEPA Workshop & Expo. |

Through periodic fundraisers, LEPA provides scholarships to college students pursuing emergency management degrees. Scholarships are awarded at the annual awards banquet.

The purpose of the
LEPA Award's Program is to recognize individuals who have performed exceptionally well in their positions to protect the citizens of the state through prevention of accidents, emergency response, and effective management of hazardous situations. Awards are presented at the annual conference. |
